ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) - Los Alamos national labs are warning its employees to prepare for protests as the anniversary of the dropping of the atomic bomb nears.

The world's first atomic bomb was developed in Los Alamos during World War II and was dropped on Hiroshima on August 6, 1945.

Past protests have included marches and civil disobedience, but new activities have been added including an ongoing hunger strike, an art program in Santa Fe and an all-day conference and film festival.
