ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) - Human remains have been found in a shallow grave in Torrance County.
According to the sheriff, a hiker found the remains sometime Sunday about 30 miles south of the town of Willard.
The area is remote, so three deputies will stay there overnight and secure the scene until Monday morning.
That's when investigators will be able to process the scene properly.
Right now, they do not know the sex, age, or identification of the remains, but say it appears to have been there for about two to three years.
