ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) - An Albuquerque woman returned from a trip to the store Saturday to find firefighters working to save her home.
Albuquerque firefighters responded to the home in the 4400 block of Shepard Avenue NE just before 1 p.m.
With smoke coming from the building they forced entry into the home, confirmed no one was inside and contained the blaze to one room.
The woman is now staying with a family member.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
