ALBUQEURQUE (KRQE) - A large part of Interstate 40 had to be shut down in Albuquerque Sunday due to a semi-truck fire.
Officials say a semi-truck with a load of frozen meat somehow caught fire on the westbound lanes.
Police had to shut down the westbound lanes from Tramway Boulevard to Eubank Boulevard, so that emergency crews could put out the fire and clean up the mess.
It took about three hours to reopen the freeway.
I-40 westbound was reopened a little before 4:30 Sunday afternoon.
