ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) - Officials say the bone discovered Wednesday in the South Valley is human and it was not alone.
A passerby found the bone partially buried in a field near Bobby Foster and Broadway.
Thursday, Bernalillo County sheriffs deputies say that OMI confirmed the bone was human and when they dug further they found even more bones they describe it as a partial human skeleton.
“We’re going to treat it as a suspicious,” Deputy Aaron Williamson said.
It will take a while for OMI to determine age gender and cause of death.
The scene has now been cleared and all evidence has been taken.
