Two NM wildlife refuges dedicated

ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) - The U.S. Interior Secretary Ken Salazar is in New Mexico Thursday to announce two new national wildlife refuges.

The Valley De Oro national refuge in the South Valley is the first urban wild life refuge in the southwest.

It used to be the price dairy and it is made up of 390 acres just half an hour from the heart of Albuquerque.

The second wildlife refuge will be at the Wind River ranch near Mora. Approximately 4,200 acres there will become the Mora National Wildlife Refuge.
