Teen hikers rescued in East Mountains

Rescuers worked to save a group of teens who got lost hiking in the East Mountains Sunday night.

Albuquerque Police Department took over the rescue operation and all hikers have been found.

Police say the five teens started hiking Sunday and became lost in the East Mountains near Candelaria and Tramway.

Rescuers found one of them with a leg injury was airlifted to the hospital. The others were treated at the scene for hypothermia and have been released to their families.
