LOS LUNAS, N.M. (KRQE) - A disturbing video of some metro area high school kids beating the heck out of each other has suddenly created a stir on the Internet.
Los Lunas school security saw the video for the first time Wednesday and launched an investigation.
A concerned viewer alerted KRQE News 13 to the violent video. At one point one of the kids looses a tooth.
School security dated one of the shirts worn by the students seen in the video. Then they went to the yearbooks and found the kids and all of them were either graduated or left the area.
Desi Garcia heads up security for Los Lunas schools and says they don't tolerate fighting on or off campus. Garcia dates the video back six years and has no idea why it's surfaced now.
One of the boys seen in the video is Antony Torres, now 22 and owner of a computer refurbishing shop in Los Lunas. He doesn't know why the video popped up now either.
He says it was over a girl and ironically he actually hangs out with some of the guys involved in the fight. He does have advice for teens who are thinking about fighting,
"There's really no reason to be fighting," Garcia says. "When you grow up you'll look back at it and think it's really stupid."
The video has since been removed from the Web.
