NM school wins mock trial championship

ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) - Hundreds of high school students took the stand Saturday for the National High School Mock Trial Championship and an Albuquerque school came out on top.

Albuquerque Academy took home the top prize, with Volcano Vista High School placing 7th.

Teams of student attorneys and witnesses from all across the country played out a court case based on a murder-for-hire case from the book, The Sinister Pig written by famed New Mexico writer Tony Hillerman.
