CNM to start posting employee salaries

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (AP) - Central New Mexico Community College plans to start posting its employees' names and salaries online next week following a month of declining to do so.

The Albuquerque Journal reports that the college will be the largest educational institution in the state to post the information, after similar moves by Albuquerque Public Schools and the University of New Mexico.

Both the city of Albuquerque and the state also post employee salary information.

The community college already had purchasing orders, budgets and a list of job positions and salaries on its website, but until now has excluded names of employees due to privacy concerns.

The college plans on posting the new information on its website starting Monday.
