ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) - All 26 students in a special Albuquerque Public Schools nursing program pass the national exam to become licenses practical nurses, the district announced Tuesday.
The students had completed the intensive two-year training program in the APS Career Enrichment Center Nursing Program.
APS started the program in 1981, graduated its first class in 1983 and currently has 50 juniors and 28 seniors in its classes.
All the students in three of the last five graduating classes have passed the national Council of State Boards of Nursing licensing exam.
