ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) - Four people were charged with child abuse after Albuquerque police found a young boy living in a feces infested apartment.

Officers were called to the Ariosa Apartments near Montgomery and Louisiana Saturday regarding reports of two women fighting.

Upon their arrival they found a young boy who they say was dirty and smelled of marijuana. Officers say they also found pot plants growing in a bathroom and three rifles in the apartment described as being full of cat feces and trash.

Crystal Gallegos, Brenda Lopez, Breanna Spooner and David Cohen were all charged and taken to jail.

The Children, Youth and Families Department is currently investigating the case.
