Woman shoots burglary suspect, estranged boyfriend

TRUTH OR CONSEQUENCES (KRQE) - Truth Or Consequences police say a homeowner shot a burglary suspect after breaking into her home.
According to police, the suspect was the victim's estranged boyfriend, Loren Schmidt.
Charges are pending against Schmidt once he is released from the hospital.
Schmidt was arrested last year on a list of charges, including assault on a household member.
