ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) - Police say a 2-month-old baby was there when a 23-year-old man shot and killed his girlfriend in southwest New Mexico.
It happened Saturday at the Shady Grove Trailer Park in Silver City.
According to silver vity police, that is where 21-year-old Nicole Leon and 23-year-old Christopher Calloway had apparently been arguing when Calloway allegedly pulled a gun shooting his girlfriend in the head.
Calloway is now in custody, facing a list of charges including an open count of murder, tampering with evidence and child abuse.
The 2-month-old was with the two inside the home when the shooting happened, but is apparently doing okay.
