CARNUEL, N.M. (KRQE) - A fugitive considered armed and dangerous is still on the loose after running from a traffic stop in Tijeras Canyon on Thursday.

A Bernalillo County sheriff's deputy pulled over a car on Old Highway 66 in Carnuel at about 1:40 p.m.

When the car stopped Ronnie Jaramillo, 32, took off on foot and could not be found despite an extensive search, according to a sheriff's spokesman.

Jaramillo has multiple warrants out for his arrest mostly from traffic violations and failing to appear in court.
