CARLSBAD, N.M. (KRQE) - Police are looking for a burglar who apparently had more than the munchies before raiding a food bank at a Carlsbad church.
The Carlsbad Current-Argus reported someone broke into the Hands of Hope Food Pantry of Carlsbad Family Fellowship over the weekend and cleared out a deep freezer and other items.
A food-bank administrator says the door was unlocked, but the burglar or burglars reportedly ripped the air conditioning unit from the back wall and crawled into the building through that small hole.
The food pantry helps 76 families each week, but the fellowship says they won't be able to help until they replenish their supplies.
So far there are no suspects in the case.
