ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) - As if you need another reason not to drink and drive this holiday season, state police are going to have extra patrols out looking to keep the streets safe.

This is all part of its winter blitz.

In Albuquerque, more than 20 officers will spend all of their time looking for drunk drivers and they will have two different checkpoints set up.

So far this year, 136 people have died in drunk driving crashes.
