ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) - A former Army recruiter from Texas who came to New Mexico to have sex with a girl has been sentenced to more than seven years in prison.
Arnold Gonzales, 26, was arrested in Clovis in May. He had arraigned to meet a girl he thought was 12 years old but turned out to be an undercover officer.
Gonzales was an Army recruiter in Midland at the time.
Once Gonzales gets out of prison he'll have to register as a sex offender.
