CARLSBAD, N.M. (KRQE) - A judge will decided later this month if a convicted sex offender in Carlsbad will stand trial on new charges.
According to the Carlsbad Current Argus 22-year-old John Manire was charged earlier this month on two new counts of sexual contact with a minor.
He was convicted back in May on two previous counts and sentenced to 12 years in prison. He also must register as a sex offender for life.
Manire could get another year and a half in jail if convicted on the new charges.
