ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) - La Plata County Sheriff’s office says there is now a scam surrounding the disappearance of Colorado teen, Dylan Redwine.

A man calling himself "Abass Gadafi" has been contacting people on Facebook claiming to be in charge of a kidnapping gang and says he's holding 13-year-old Dylan captive and wants $4,000 sent to the U.K.

Anyone contacted by this man is asked to notify the La Plata County Sheriff's office.

Meanwhile, the teen has not been seen since November 19th in Vallecito.

There's a $5,000 reward being offered for information leading to the recovery of Dylan.
