ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) - Police say a repeat drunk driver got behind the wheel again and crashed into an irrigation ditch Saturday.
It happened Saturday evening near 6th Street and Matthew in northwest Albuquerque.
Police were called to the scene after reports someone had crashed into an irrigation ditch.
Inside the car was 53-year-old Karen Adair.
Adair has four drunken driving arrests on her criminal history and three convictions.
She appeared in court Sunday asking a judge to please lower her bond to make it easier to receive treatment.
“I’m seeing a counselor…I'm going to AA meetings every chance I get up in the heights,” Adair said.
Despite her pleas the judge increased Adair’s bond to $35,000.
She is currently in jail.
