ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) - A motorcyclist whom Bernalillo County sheriff's deputies say hit 100 mph during a pursuit is expected to make his first court appearance on Friday.

Around 8 p.m. Wednesday a deputy reported a biker on the freeway speeding and weaving recklessly in and out of traffic near the Big I interchange.

After that the chase was on.

Investigators say the biker, later identified as Anthony Milligan, 32, briefly reached 100 mph.

Milligan got off Interstate 40 at 12th Street NW, rode through 4-H Park on Menaul Boulevard just west of 12th, crashed the bike and took off running, according to the pursuing officer.

He was found nearby hiding under a school bus in a backyard.

Further investigation discovered the motorcycle was stolen.

Milligan was to be charged with aggravated fleeing and receiving and transporting a stolen vehicle.

He was booked into the Metropolitan Detention Center but has since bonded out.
