CARLSBAD, N.M. (KRQE) - Roswell police have two persons of interest in custody, possibly in connection to the shooting death of a man who walked in on a burglary.
Luis Jimenez, 22, and Joseph Barnhill, 25, are charged with aggravated burglary. Police say they stole several items from a home on the 400 block of south Missouri and took an AR15 and about $6,700.
Both men are only charged with the burglary right now. But the district attorney and police are working to tie them to the interrupted burglary where 39-year-old Saul Sanchez was shot and killed.
Jimenez and Barnhill are both being held on $50,000 bonds.
