ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) - Albuquerque police have identified the pedestrian who was hit by two vehicles and killed on Wednesday.

They say James Currier, 66, was not in a crosswalk when he tried crossing Eubank Boulevard NE near Lomas.

That's when he was hit by a truck and then a car. Currier died at the scene.

The driver of the car, Manuel Adams, 49, was arrested on an outstanding warrant.

Police say the cause of the crash was error on Currier's part as well as driver inattention and failure to yield on Adams' part.

Police have forwarded the case to the district attorney's office to determine if Adams will face any charges related to the crash.
