NM judge arrested on battery charge

ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) - A New Mexico judge is in big trouble accused of beating her boyfriend.
    
Workers' compensation administration judge Shannon Riley was arrested in northwest Albuquerque Friday.
    
According to a criminal complaint -- her boyfriend called police saying he woke up to riley punching and scratching him.
    
The boyfriend claims, the couple had got into an argument that night, over him talking to another woman at a party.
    
Riley says it was self defense and that her boyfriend pushed her first.
   
Police charged the judge with battery.
    
She has already bonded out of jail.
