NM gang member gets life sentence

ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) - A New Mexico gang member convicted of a gruesome murder will be spending the rest of his life in prison.
A federal jury in Las Cruces could not reach a unanimous decision Monday to sentence Larry Lujan to death.
Instead he will serve life in prison.
Last year, Lujan was convicted of kidnapping a 16-year-old boy from San Antonio, Texas.
He tortured the teen for hours before stabbing and killing him.
The murder was over a $600 drug debt.
