ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) - A neighborhood is on edge after a shooting Sunday morning.

It happened around 10:15 a.m. on the 1800 block of La Vega in the south valley.

Officials say one person was shot, but the victim did not appear to have life-threatening injuries.

But neighbors say they are still uneasy.

“It’s kind of scary, you know, and I have a 10-year-old,” Angel Nevarez said. “There's always kids walking, and it's just kind of scary, you know. I think they should have more security, more patrolling on the streets.”

So far, no word on what led up to the shooting or if there are any suspects in the case.
