Mother wrestled gun from killer son, cops say

LOS LUNAS, N.M. (KRQE) - The mother of murder suspect Marvin Martinez witnessed the killing of a 20-year-old relative in Bosque Farms on Friday, according to court records.
Ashley Raulerson, 20, was found shot to death in her home.
Her uncle Marvin Martinez is charged with her murder.
Court documents indicate Martinez's mother witnessed the killing late Friday morning. She told investigators Martinez suddenly grabbed a rifle from a bedroom and shot Ashley twice while she was on the couch.
The mother then wrestled the gun away from Martinez, and he took off. He was arrested around 8 p.m. Friday near a relative's home in Los Lunas.
While police have not released a motive, Raulerson's mother said she had called her earlier in the day saying Marvin was acting crazy.
She didn't say why but did add that Marvin is a veteran who uses a number of prescription drugs.
