Mom sentenced in boiling water death

ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) - A Farmington mother who burned her two boys with boiling water, killing one of them has been sentenced to 12 years in prison.
In 2007 Miranda Kuykendall killed her 21-month-old son Braxton and left her 3-year-old son Trevin with severe injuries.
Her boyfriend Christopher Elliott pleaded guilty in the case and testified against Kuykendall.
He is serving a life sentence.
Kuykendall could have faced 21 years in prison.
With good time and credit for time served she's expected to be paroled in eight years.
