ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) - The 19-year-old mother who allegedly took her young son during a supervised visit Tuesday made her first appearance in court Wednesday afternoon.

The judge set Brittney Carr's bond at $17,500.

The Bernalillo County Sheriff's Office issued an abduction alert just before 5 p.m. Tuesday because the state Children, Youth and Families Department said the baby was in imminent danger.

Carr and her son were found a few hours later near in southeast Albuquerque near Highland High School.

Deputies said the driver of the car that dropped them off still has not been found.

Carr is jailed on custodial interference and child abuse charges.
