ALBUQEURQUE (KRQE) - An Albuquerque woman is facing child abuse charges after being arrested for drunk driving, with a 3-year-old in the seat beside her.

Crystal Tachias faced a judge in Albuquerque this weekend a criminal complaint says an officer spotted her speeding down Coal Avenue Thursday night.

After hitting two curbs, Tachias finally pulled over.

The officer says the cab of the truck reeked of booze, but Tachias denied drinking saying the alcohol was spilled on her.

Two other adults were inside the truck, along with a 3-year-old girl who was not in a car seat.

Police arrested Tachias after she failed a field sobriety test and blew higher than .16.

APD says she's been convicted of DWI before.
