ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) - A pot bust on a middle school campus leads deputies to an East Mountains home that officers say looked more like a pot farm.

Bernalillo County sheriff's deputies say a Roosevelt Middle School student was getting pot from a friend and that friend was getting it from his father.

The dad, Davian Breedlove, faced a judge Sunday.

Deputies found nearly seven pounds of what they describe as 'high grade' marijuana at the home.

According to a criminal complaint, deputies were tipped off by a Roosevelt Middle School student who was arrested for having pot at school.

That student told the school resource officer he got the marijuana from a friend and that friend is Breedlove's son.

The student told the SRO Breedlove's son bragged about all the weed his dad had at home.

Telling him Breedlove had two greenhouses full of marijuana.

The officer followed up on the claims and got a warrant for the home. A search in the beginning of October turned up nearly seven pounds of marijuana as well as four guns.

Breedlove was not home during the search, so a warrant was issued for his arrest.

According to the court's background investigator Breedlove is no stranger to the criminal justice system.

"We found criminal history out of Texas and New Mexico that included seven misdemeanors four convictions, 24 bench warrants, 18 for failure to appear. Seven felonies, no convictions three cases were consolidated and deferred and later dismissed,” a background investigator said.

Breedlove is charged with dealing marijuana as well as child abuse because the pot was all over the house.

It is not clear if Breedlove's son is facing any charges in this case but according to the student who turned him in he has been selling the pot at school to other kids as well.
