ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) - A Los Lunas man is facing charges for a road rage incident in Albuquerque over the weekend and police say the victims are the man's own family members.

Abelardo Pena, 45, allegedly rammed his van into a pick-up which had his 18-year-old daughter and his 14-month-old granddaughter inside.

It happened around 12:30 Saturday morning on Highway 47 and Tribal Road 15.

When police pulled Pena over, he told the officer that his daughter was disrespectful to her mother over the phone and they were upset with her because she was out all night with the baby.

Pena is charged with aggravated battery with a deadly weapon and child abuse.
