ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) - Bernalillo County sheriff's deputies and the SWAT team locked down a neighborhood in northwest Albuquerque Wednesday afternoon before nabbing a man wanted for robbery and kidnapping.

Anthony Quintana, 35, surrendered to officers after the sheriff's Crisis Negotiation Team talked him into giving up.

No injuries were reported.

The search centered north of the intersection of Corona Drive and Redlands Road NW, Sgt. Sam White said in a statement released to the news media just before 3 p.m.

The area is between Coors Boulevard and the Rio Grande between Quail and Sequoia roads.

Quintana, wanted on felony warrants for robbery, kidnapping and other alleged crimes, took off running when he spotted deputies near Coors and Sequoia sometime before 2 p.m., White said.

He surrendered about 5 p.m.
