ALBUQUREQUE (KRQE) - Police say the man who crashed a car into an Albuquerque house over the weekend is a violent career criminal who may have been fleeing from a new crime.
The car slammed into the house near Indian School and Chelwood, northeast about one Saturday morning.
The driver took off and was nowhere to be found when police arrived.
They started looking for 27-year-old Kevin Folse because it was registered to him and Sunday they spotted him in his girlfriend's car.
They pulled it over and arrested Folse for leaving the scene of an accident.
He is on parole and has quite the criminal history.
In 2008 Folse was charged with attempted murder after allegedly shooting a friend twice in the chest. The friend survived and Folse pled no contest to aggravated battery.
Later he was caught trying to escape from MDC.
Now APD is investigating if Folse was involved in a burglary at a nearby house shortly
