ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) - The man accused of abusing his stepson so badly he died over the weekend could face stiffer charges sometime within the next week.
Right now Richard Gutierrez is charged with child abuse resulting in great bodily harm or death for throwing 5-year-old Isaiah up against a dresser after he wet his pants last week.
A grand jury has until April 14th to indict him and that is when his charges could be upgraded to murder.
