ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) - One would-be robber was arrested after pulling a gun outside of an Albuquerque store.

On Thursday, police were dispatched to a store on Central in reference to a disturbance.

Cops say they saw people fighting with 21-year-old Nathaniel Gomez.

Witnesses say he went into the store, tried to take some food and then pointed a gun at security.

That's when another man grabbed the gun and a struggle started.

Officers arrested Gomez and found out it was just a pellet gun.

He was in court Saturday, charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.

Gomez stated at the time of the incident he had been drinking and was just really hungry.
