ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) - A wanted Rio Rancho man, who concealed his identity from police, ended-up in jail after allegedly elbowing an officer in the face.
According to a police report, Steven Salazar got into an argument with an employee at a Dollar General Store Monday.
An officer responded to the call and asked Salazar for his name but he refused to tell the officer.
The officer attempted to handcuff Salazar after finding out he was a wanted man.
That's when investigators say Salazar elbowed the officer in the face, punched him several times and took off.
He was eventually arrested.
Salazar is charged with aggravated battery on a police officer without great bodily harm and attempting to disarm a police officer.
