ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) - A man arrested at an Albuquerque community center is accused of upskirting a young girl.

Gabriel Sanchez faced a judge Saturday on voyeurism charges after police say he looked up the skirt of a 9-year-old girl.

Officers say it happened at the Barelas Community Center in southwest Albuquerque last week.

A criminal complaint says the girl was sitting on the bleachers when she says Sanchez bent down to look under her skirt. Then she claims the 30-year-old man grabbed her hand pulling her towards him.

The girl began to cry then told center workers, who called police.

Police say Sanchez claims he was just picking up his gym bag and then shaking the girl’s hand.

He's still locked up on a $10,000 bond.
