Hobbs police recruits more officers

HOBBS, N.M. (KRQE) - Hobbs police will soon be able to solve their officer shortage problem.
Earlier this year the force was short 14 officers.
The city is now trying to fill three original positions and 14 additional positions just added by the city manager because of the recent population.
The city says they have been recruiting aggressively and now have a lot of applicants.
The challenge is finding a place for these people to live.
There is a huge housing shortage there right now.
