TRUTH OR CONSEQUENCES, N.M. (KRQE) - A New Mexico construction worker was killed Monday afternoon while on an Interstate 25 job.
The Truth or Consequences Herald reports the unidentified worker was killed on I-25 between T or C and Hatch.
It happened near Caballo Lake in the southbound lanes where crews were working on a resurfacing project.
The newspaper reports a semitrailer driver drove straight into a construction pickup and the pickup hit and killed the worker.
The person died on scene and the big-rig driver was transported by air to a local hospital.
New Mexico State Police are handling the investigation.
