ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) - A very violent week in Albuquerque continued unabated early Saturday with the discovery of a body near an Interstate 25 frontage road.
Around 1 a.m. police received a report of a body near Menaul Boulevard and southbound Pan American Freeway NE, the I-25 frontage road.
Police told KRQE News 13 the person appeared to be dead from a gunshot wound and that there was no blood trail to the scene.
A hotel security guard and a passerby spotted the body.
Pan American was shut down for a couple of hours during the investigation.
As of Saturday afternoon police had yet to release additional information on the incident.
