ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) - A Valencia County man accused of trying to kill his wife by stabbing her in the neck is on the run no more.

On Friday the U.S. Marshals Service got a tip that Dale Nielsen was sleeping under a bridge near Eubank Boulevard NE and Interstate 40 in Albuquerque.

He was still there when officers arrived in the afternoon.

Marshals had tracked Nielsen to a home in Mountainair on Wednesday, but he fled before they could arrest him.

During the ensuing chase he crashed his car in the Manzano Mountains, took off on foot and vanished.

He's now jailed and facing attempted murder charges.
