FARMINGTON, N.M. (KRQE) - More information may soon be released about the man who was shot and killed by a police officer in Farmington Tuesday.
Police there say they went to a home on Loma Linda, where a man with a weapon confronted them and led to the shooting.
Investigators have not said much else about what happened and they have not released the man's name.
The man later died at the hospital.
Officials say the officer who shot him is on paid leave.
State police is investigating.
