ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) - A former New Mexico State Police officer charged with DWI has made a deal with prosecutors.
Daniel Barde was arrested in July 2011 for driving drunk on Interstate 25 with his 3-year-old child in his car.
He was charged with aggravated DWI and child abuse and later resigned.
His first trial ended with a hung jury. Prosecutors decided to try him again, but now he's agreed to a plea deal.
Under the deal he pleaded guilty to DWI first offense and has to take part in the first-time-DWI-offender program.
