Espanola man accused of raping a child

ESPANOLA, N.M. (KRQE) - A 21-year old Espanola man is behind bars for allegedly raping a 13-year-old girl.
According to the corrections department, Leo Martinez was reporting to probation and parole on Friday morning when he received a text message.
The probation officer took the phone and noticed inappropriate messages with the underage girl.
When they located her, she told officers Martinez had raped her.
Martinez was arrested and charged with sexual assault of a child.
He was originally on probation for drug charges.
