ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) - An Albuquerque mother remains in jail charged with child abuse after police say she made her teenage daughter drive.
Police received a call to the Drunk-Busters tip line on Saturday regarding a truck that was swerving in and out of traffic without their lights on.
Using information from the license plate provided police arrived at northeast Albuquerque home where they saw the truck described.
That’s where they learned the driver was a 14-year-old girl. The teen told officers her mother, 38-year-old Florinda Tsosie, had her drive.
Tsosie looked drunk but refused a field sobriety test.
Cops say Tsosie failed a breath test.
