Driver hits BCSO deputy with car

ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) - Deputies were responding to a crash in southwest Albuquerque when a car sped through the scene and hit a deputy.

The incident happened near Bridge and La Vega just before 9 p.m. Sunday.

Deputies say a car driven by 22-year-old Damian Necochea hit the deputy directing traffic and then kept going.
 
Deputies then shot at the car.

How many round is under investigation, but the driver wasn't hit.
  
He was later arrested and is charged with aggravated battery on a police officer.
 
The deputy was treated at the hospital then released.
