Driver admits role in shooting at cops

ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) - One of the three men police say open fired at an Albuquerque Police Department substation pleaded guilty Friday.

Police say Aaron Betonie was driving drunk when he and two friends shot at the Northeast Heights Area Command station at 8201 Osuna Road NE.

About a dozen officers were standing outside, but none was injured.

The men were charged with assault and shooting from a car.

Betonie will be sentenced at a later date.
