ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) - Even in the black Friday rush a keen cop spotted one of Albuquerque’s most wanted thieves in the crowd.

Police say Miguel Gonzales was at Coronado Mall when an officer recognized his face.

The officer was there as part of APD's beefed up presence at shopping centers this holiday season.

Gonzales had five warrants out for his arrest and was recently featured in the city's most wanted property crimes flyer.

Cops say they also found cocaine on him.

Gonzales is in jail on a no-bond hold.
